About Us
Potstop was established over ten years ago as a new, creative venture by Amy and Melissa.
Coming from very different work backgrounds, we wanted something new and local to return to after our maternity leave. We had a LOT to learn!! But we quickly found our skills really complimented each other.
Friends and family all pitched in and as our girls slept parked in their buggies in the shell of a building we painted walls, ordered scaffolding and finally took delivery of a kiln!
Most important to us was creating something positive in our lovely community of Knebworth. We are endlessly proud of what Potstop has become, we have printed countless baby feet, seen the same babies as toddlers at Messy Play, many, many birthday parties and holiday workshops.
We have a fab bright studio that has been host to so many family occasions and is a place where people can socialise at our Late Nights. We are also often chosen to make wonderful personalised gifts using fingerprints and handprints for schools, teachers and relatives.
We are committed too to supporting our local schools and preschools and care homes with creative artwork and fundraising and are very proud to have helped many other new, local businesses start up and flourish.

How does it work?
CREATE
We will help you get started with an idea or design, or you might like to copy one of our examples.

We have a wide range of paints and glazes available to suit everyone from beginner to artist! If you are bringing little ones for foot or handprints, we will do the printing and writing for you.
COLLECT
​
​
Once you're done, simply leave your finished pieces with us to be glazed and fired.
​
Your creations will be ready to collect a week later!
​

10am-5pm.
Painting at home
You don’t have to stay, you can take it away!
​
If you’d prefer to paint at home, just pop to our shop, order and collect your kit from us. Inside will be your choice of pottery, paints and brushes.
